Not only obesity, but junk foods are a major cause of maximum ailments in people that we see around us. Reason being that they doesn’t have any nutritional value, have huge amount of calories and sodium and it puts strain on our body to consume the fats accumulated by them.There are many different harmful effects of junk food
A person gets affected by many diseases due to regular consumption of junk foods. Let us see some very common examples of most harmful diseases caused by them:
# 1: Increased Blood Pressure
Increase in blood pressure or Hypertension is caused in those persons who are in a habit of eating lots of junk foods. Normally, junk foods contain lots of salt as their ingredient. When a person consumes this food on a regular basis, then this salt caused the person to have fluid retention. This unfortunately results into blood pressure.
# 2: Increased Level of Diabetes
A person who eats lots of junk food gets obese very soon. This is because the carbohydrates present in food get stored in the body in the form of fat. This large amount of fat in a person’s body results into increased sugar level in the person’s blood. This results into person becoming diabetic and becoming prone to other diseases also like hypertension etc.
# 3: Coronary Heart Diseases
A person having aforesaid ailments has a high risk of falling into a heart attack. Reason being that increased sugar level, excessive cholesterol in blood and fat deposit in body can cause severe heart problems. It highly increases the person to suffer from heart attack.

Obesity makes our lungs to work harder than before. This happens so as to supply required amount of oxygen to all body parts. Hence, it results into breathing problems like Asthma etc.

Many obese people often feel tired and lethargic all the time. They might think it to be happening due to their overweight. Actually, they suffer from a disease called sleep apnea. In this, during sleeping a person literally stops breathing and wakes up suddenly. This results into having an improper sleep and makes us tired, lazy and unenergetic.
We all realize that it becomes difficult sometimes to curb our temptation towards tempting junk foods. However, we must realize the fact that they are harmful to our health. If we eat them, then we must either have them in restricted manner or do proper exercises to reduce their harmful effects.
